Gargantua In The Park - Bucharest

Nice place, excellent location, good atmosphere, very slow food service after one hour waiting and drinks we gave up.

When I made a booking for this evening, I took into account the fact that Gargantua is known in Bucharest as a restaurant (such as to be distinguished from a fast food ,or something of a sort with cheaper meals and lower standards for service). Unfortunately, but they did not live this evening up to this title: the chief 's lack of basic manners in speaking and behavior towards my guests, the fact that everywhere in the location, albeit all of the spaces inside or outside were enclosed, was allowed to smoke, practically overwhelmed the fact that the food was good and the service provided by waiting staff was amiable, prompt and polite. Plus, taking into account the COVID pandemic, there weren 't any social distancing measures at all: the tables were too close one to another, hence the cigarettes smoke easily made the atmosphere hard to breathe and also altered the taste of the food... In conclusion: far too expensive. I do not wish to pay so much to get cigarettes smoke...

I waited 30 min for my pasta, when they dropped the plate with the pasta, took it back to the kitchen and came back with "fresh" pasta in 5 minutes. I'm more than certain that they didn't cook new shrimps and boil new pasta in 5 minute. So I most probably got the pasta they dropped on the floor. Never to return.

Was there for a soup and a beer. Food was delicious, beer was beer. But the prices are very high, really expensive place.

Excellent pizzas, served quite quickly with a little bit of pretention. A little bit dubious about the cleanliness of the restaurant to be honest. Staff efficient and competent. Average plus
