Jo & Joe's Fish 'n' Chip Shop

We had dinner with a friend and the fish and chips were excellent, nice batter on the fish with a variety of species. The chips were thicker than normal and very nice.

After checking out trip advisor, I found a great place just a couple of streets from where I was staying.The fish and salad pack with reef fish was absolutely delicious, cannot recommend the place highly enough, great value and scrumptious food, a no brainer for any locals.

Okay fish, nothing special, chips were below average, not crispy and a bit soggy. I really think their reviews on Facebook are self authored or from friends, or I went on a bad night. I won't be back anytime soon.

Having read the Trip Advisor reviews and in search of Bundaberg's best fish and chips I decided to order two fish and chips from Jo & Joe's. The choice was cod for $5.50 per piece or Red Emperor for $8.50 a piece. I ordered the battered cod and was not disappointed - the batter was golden and the fish tasty and perfectly cooked and served with lemon wedges. The chips were also delicious and a good portion for $2.00. So far it's on my list of the top two fish and chip shops in Bundy.The interior of the shop is quaint - tables with flowers and a selection of magazines to read while you wait.Topped off with friendly service it's a winner.

Now this is good fish and chips. The service is fantastic and the quality of food is perfection. Delicious salad and coleslaw to accompany your perfectly cooked fish and chips. Certainly a winner.
