Original Max's - Burlingame

Pretty good spot for a bite to eat. We were kind of in a hurry for a snack, so we ordered take out. The food was ready in under 5 minutes. We had the blt with avo and their potato salad. Both were really good The potato salad is unique Ambiance wise, it seems like a pretty cozy place to dine in

My dad would definitely recommend this place, this is his go to spot to celebrate just about everything. We have gathered here at Max 's in Burlingame countless times over the years. My dad use to be hooked on the large T-Bone steak that was so big it covered over half the plate. He 's a very generous tipper and the staff loves him when he comes in. I enjoy the food here we sit in a section where we can talk, eat, and laugh. The location is great with an ocean view and nice hotels near the S.F. airport. Everybody orders something different, it turns into a buffet. I 'm usually so full at the end I have no room for dessert. Over the holidays my sister asked my stepmom if we could eat somewhere else for a change? She never answered, so I took that as a no!Lol.. As the sign out in front says this is a bad place for a diet and it is! We always enjoy the large portions and the friendly staff.

Great food. My wife and I split the Rueben. Great portions and the service is amazing. Definitely recommend.

Fabulous found and drinks . We always come here when we have to go to SFO. Food was very tasty and the drinks were good. About the mash potatoes and the cream spinach... both could have been creamer , but the taster was great . Nice to see they have music. Kind of like the old days when they were doing opera . But I haven't been here in awhile .

While in Burlingame i had dinner at Max's. It is located on Old Bayshore Hwy in front of the Holiday Inn Express San Francisco. It was about 7pm, so it was dark. I was surprised to see lots of signage about cars being broken into. I wasn't sure if this was a safe place. I ventured in anyway. I stood for a very long time before anyone asked to help me. A gentleman sent me over to the bar area to be serviced I sat down at the counter and was immediately waited on. The inside was dark even though lit by lights. My server was cool. Down to earth. He let me know about the 10% discount because I'm at the hotel next door. So I ordered the Patty Melt on Rye with a side of Fries and a Raspberry Iced Tea. I waited for a while but when it arrived- the aroma was amazing. Those grilled onions just hooked my taste buds. The hamburger meat was seasoned perfectly, juicy and tender. The sauce just melted into the cheese and the bread. I almost ate the entire sandwich. The fries were hot but it was too much food for me to eat. I was full like Garfield once again...Lol .
