Honey West Restaurant Bar - Burlington

I came here for lunch with a couple of friends. I thought it was great. A reasonably sized, very tasty entree and a glass of wine for $12? Very civilized. I had a vegetarian wrap, and since I'm trying to eat vegan the kitchen removed the cheese from my serving. My friends enjoyed their meals as well, although I can't remember what they had. Our server, Avery, was lovely. This was a casual meal, and they did a great job.

I agree with a lot of the reviews regarding the food, it could be a great place with great food. The servers are all very friendly. But if you are unlucky enough to be there when the owner is running around drunk and swearing and shouting at his customers and staff I am sure you won't want to go here again. It was a very awful experience for us...we have never ever been in a restaurant/bar where the owner is more drunk and out of control than the customers! Would never go there again. There are lots of other venues downtown where the owner is sober and appreciates his customers.

We were seated for about 20 mins before our drinks came after they were ordered. And after the drinks, we must have waited almost an hour for food. What took so long? I had a burger, and my friends shared a bunch of apps. My burger was good, but the lettuce wraps weren't that tasty. And the server would ask one person if they wanted another drink and walk away. We said "excuse me" a lot and made her come back. The restaurant was only about 1/2 full, so am not sure where she was rushing to. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also only mediocre.Would I go back? No. Plenty of other nice restaurants downtown Burlington to choose from.

Went to Honey West, Burlington last night for dinner, always a great place. But my husband had the Calamari and Rainbow trout about 8pm and didn't feel so good by the time we were home around 10.30pm. Mush have been a bad batch of one of these seafoods as he spent 3 hours being sick all night. Been there many times before and never had an issues. Hope this one just a one off. Rating in this instance is just based on this visit.

Excellent service and great food. Was a little disappointed in their menu choices since they cut it back about 2 years ago. Was more selection then.
