Bidra med feedbackMy husband and I have been here a couple times and its a delight every time. The servers are friendly and the food is comparable to the ones you get in Korea. We were especially impressed with their bossam.
Hello everyone! How was your week? Alex and I had a busy week with new changes at work and finals approaching. We've been feeling a bit stressed lately (at least I have). I don't know why stress causes breakouts – my skin has been terrible lately. We thought it would be a good idea to treat ourselves to some Korean food! Alex and I love Korean cuisine, it's one of our guilty pleasures. I'm not a huge fan of spicy food, but sometimes I crave a hot and spicy Korean stew in the winter to keep warm.
Honestly, when I saw that Pickycat had given this place a 4 out of 5 rating, I knew I had to try it. And let me tell you, she was right! This Korean fusion restaurant is fantastic. The service was quick and friendly, and the ambiance was cozy and modern. We started with the Deep Fried Tofu, which was surprisingly light and crispy. For our main dishes, we tried the lunch specials recommended by our server. My partner had the Gpanpoong Chicken on Rice, which was garlicky and tender. I highly recommend it! I opted for the Gamjatang, a pork bone soup that was incredibly flavorful and packed with tender pork. Although it was a bit messy to eat with chopsticks, it was worth it. Overall, I agree with Pickycat and others - this place is a must-try for Korean fusion cuisine.
Came here on a Sunday night and it wasn't really busy. They aren't that big of a restaurant, so if you have a large group, a reservation might be a good idea. <br/ <br/ We ordered the seafood pancake, LA galbi, and the bossam. The seafood pancake was pretty good. It was crispy and had a decent amount of seafood. Only thing I didn't like was that it looked burnt when it came. But luckily it didn't taste very burnt. The LA galbi was pretty good, but it wasn't that tender and large in portion. I don't think it was really worth it for the price, but it tasted good. My favourite item was the bossam. We actually ordered this after we ordered the first two because we still felt hungry. I'm glad we did. It was very large in portion and the pork belly was really tender and flavourful. It was also presented very beautifully. I would order this dish again. The side dishes were basic with the kimchi radishes, beansprouts, and potatoes. They were good and I got seconds for them. <br/ <br/ Overall, food and service was good. I would definitely come back to try out more dishes. Maybe come back for the lunch specials.
