Szechuan Chongqing - Burnaby

The food here is the best—fresh and not greasy, consistently delicious and reasonably priced. We usually order takeout from Tony's about once a week, and we've never been disappointed. It’s a must-try!

Chongqing holds a special place in the hearts of my mum and sister, almost like a second home. The customer service is outstanding, and every dish we've tried has been delightful. We make sure to order the same favorites each time: Chongqing beef, Szechuan green beans, sweet and sour soup with chicken and shrimp, and our latest favorite, Singapore noodles. We happily drive all the way from Richmond just to enjoy the delicious food and excellent service. The ambiance is wonderful, and we also love the new furniture!

The main dishes were good, but the hot and sour soup was disappointing. I can only give one star for that. Thanks anyway!

I wanted to try this place after I seen some of the pics of their food as it looked so appealing. Anyway we went there on a weekend for dinner and were seated immediately. Their noodles were good but the beef was awesome. Really good flavor. We also ordered for the bone-in chicken dish and they totally destroyed that. The chicken pieces were hard as rock. I'm not sure if they forgot how small these pieces were. On the plus side though the sauce was good. Overall not a very satisfying meal.

Disappointing. Don't waste your time. The lunch special looked like a great value a choice of about approximately 25 dishes, with A bowl of rice and soup for $13.75. The hot and sour soup came out quickly after ordering. Unfortunately it tasted burnt. Egg rolls were greasy and felt like they were refried. The yuxiangqiezi eggplant dish was OK not great but it was reasonable for the price. The seafood crispy chow mein was a sorry mess. The noodles looked like the had been fried, sat, and then fried again. They were soggy and disgusting. No self respecting chef would serve something like that. I hate to be all negative. On the positive side the front end wait staff was friendly and prompt. No complaints about the service. Will not be visiting the Burnaby Chongqing on Kingsway again. There are lots of great options nearby.
