Burspresso - Burwood

In Burwood for the day when I came across this small but nicely done cafe streetfront hub. For lunch I wasn't after coffee so just ordered their Burspresso burger. Service was efficient but pleasant, the fellow in particular seemed pretty cheerful & chatty with people I assume are regulars. Burger made to order and beef patty nice & juicy. Unfortunately the bread while good in itself, didn't hold up well with the fillings which were generous but inclined to be soggy (tomato, beetroot, pineapple) along with the tomato sauce (not needed with hindsight). Luckily I went eat-in over takeaway since it ended up rather messy. Wouldn't mind stopping back for some of their counter options which looked good & easier to handle, or something else on the menu with a different combo of fillings.

Best place for morning stop in Burwood - great service, great coffee - and yummy toasties! The service is quick and there's always a smily friendly owner

Feeling peckish after standing in the long queues at the Local banks in the area, pop in to Burspresso. Coffee is great and good selection of sandwiches

Popped in for brunch. Ordered the Mediterranean stack and eggs benedict. The eggs benedict were lovely, the yolk was runny, a very tasty meal.The mediterranean stack was presented as a traditional sandwich rather than an open faced sandwich which meant it was a smaller than I expected.The description listed olive tapenade, whole grilled mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, feta, rocket and served on sour dough.There was a small piece of sundried tomato instead of cherry tomatoes, tasty cheese instead of feta and baby spinach instead of rocket.I understand that sometimes substitutions have to be made but LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW when they order so they can choose something else if they want.Just because it's vegetarian doesn't mean it's unimportant what the ingredients are and it's irresponsible regarding food allergies.Despite this however it was yummy.The waitress who served us was also very welcoming and bubbly.We would come here again.
