The Taste of Village - Burwood

I'm so glad that I live a short 5 minute drive from The Taste of Village! I've had their Veg Samosas, Chicken Korma, Butter Chicken, Village Special Chicken

A hidden gem and a friendly atmosphere, great service and fantastic authentic Indian cuisine, you can really taste the difference, no packet food here!

We had our first visit to The Taste of Village last night after receiving a recommendation from a friend. It was even better than we had anticipated. The food was incredibly authentic with some amazing flavours and lot of variation.The restaurant itself has a very cozy, warm atmosphere with lots of indian artifacts and photos.The personal service was a definite highlight and they made us feel very welcome. The staff were incredibly helpful in making suggestions for meals and they were spot on with how much to order.The restaurant is ideal for both families and couples, Our kids loved the butter chicken and the chef made it especially mild for them.The price was very reasonable for the quality of the food and service. We will absolutely be back as it is the best experience that we've had at an Indian restuarant.

Loved this restaurant when we visited in May. Food was delicious, staff were wonderful and when they found it was my birthday they gave me a little cake and sang "Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha". Would highly recommend. Only drawback was it tends to get a bit noisy. Otherwise highly recommend!

They've only been there for about a year or so, but in that time they've found a place in my family's list of favourite restaurants. Great friendly service and the food is always good. I usually go with the banquet with an extra dish for the kids and the guys there have always been great. They take the time to listen and understand what we like. I've even had a birthday party there for my 12 year old.
