Bidra med feedbackGreat drinks but is very inconsistent with when they are there. There have been multiple times this week but I went there and nobody was there but the doors were open with the menu. Another day this week there was a sign up saying we’ll be back at 8:45 and when I pulled up it was 910 and no one was there. Tried again today around 1:45 and nobody there. It’s a bummer when you’re looking forward to a drink before/after work and they are not open when they say they are and you have no time to go anywhere else?
Stopped at The Humble Bean on my way to work today. Ordered a dry cappuccino. One of the few places that understood what that meant. Service was quick and it's easily the best tasting espresso I've had in town. Very friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
Went to grab a matcha with oat milk. It truly hit the spot.
A very well frequented local coffee shop. The decor is nice, the option to sit outside wonderful, and the staff seems genuinely friendly and happy. Moreover they seem politically active which is exceptionally cool. The downside is it is really expensive. I don’t mind paying top price but it’s for a good cause or exceptional but to be honest the coffee was not that great and the pastries were average at best. What I did not know, and I found kind of creepy, was that the staff added their own tip onto my bill without asking or telling me. I find this hilarious but also abusive. I absolutely would’ve given a 20% tip because the staff seem very happy and it seemed like a great place. I didn’t feel icky that they added it without telling me. Something you may want to consider. Two specialty coffees and pastries was over $20. I think you can do better if you’re looking for coffee in Castlegar.
Fantastic matcha latte! In town for a few weeks and I'm so excited to find a coffee shop I like, and my favorite drink. Easy to drive through I'll be back for sure.
