Kichi Kichi - CABLE BEACH

We had a lovely meal here while staying at Cable Bech Resort.......herb chicken and a beef dish with chilli and coconut. Both dishes were great. We also had one serve of rich with a beer and a pineapple juice for $86. The service was also very good. I'd be happy to go again.

Recently stayed at Cable Beach Club and had dinner Kichi Kichi. We ordered a few dishes to share and have to recommend the pad thai and the vegetable green curry. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and we loved the pops of colour with the furniture and the rice buckets.Will definitely eat there again.

I'm staying at cable beach resort of course you don't want to go far for a meal, kichi kichi looks nice, great setting, but food not good. First we tried a club sandwich by the pool for lunch, it was dry bland and didn't come as advertised. I thought dinner might be different however ordered the pad Thai which was drenched in sweet chilli sauce, I sent it back and asked for no sweet chilli sauce, I was told this couldn't be done as it was premade. I ordered some spring rolls but when you bit into them, dripped with fat. My partner had the salad Nicoise, bland lack flavour. Poor food at resort prices very disappointing

Had dinner at kichi kichi last night. Upon arriving we were told western power had cut off their power unexpectedly and we would be required to either pay cash or charge the meal to our room. As we weren't staying at CBC and live in 2017 where unless you're 75 you don't generally carry around hundred dollar bills neither option was going to work for us. We were told there was an atm inside but surprisingly atms use electricity... so then we were basically barred entry while they decided what to do with us. About 20 minutes later they relented and let us in while telling us they were working on a limited menu. That's no problem at all but why when the power went out 2 hours before our booking would you not call us and let us know that we should bring cash and be prepared to eat off a limited menu? The fact they have a blackout menu would seem to indicate this isn't the first time it's happened. Anyway, after being seated we were left alone for about 30 min before they thought we might like a drink. From then the food came out relatively quickly and was ok, the beef was good. Compliments to the chef for working under challenging conditions, but you can't rescue a meal with service like that. I guess you can get away with it when you're not relying on repeat business to stay afloat....

Even though the restaurant was booked out, the lovely staff put a table together for us by the pool. They also gave spot on meal recommendations. Fantastic meal in a beautiful location.
