Bidra med feedbackWe just had a meal that was quite inconsistent. Our server, Amber P, was fantastic—she was kind, attentive, and well-versed in the menu. We really enjoyed the complimentary cornbread and our order of fried pickles. I tried the Campfire Chicken with a Caesar salad and mac and cheese on the side. While the sides were excellent—definitely one of my favorite mac and cheeses—the chicken was dry and smothered in an odd, overly sweet, almost flavorless sauce that didn't pair well with the smoked Gouda and bacon on the dish. My mother-in-law went for the prime rib special with smashed potatoes and green beans, and her entire meal was disappointing. The prime rib was cold and tasteless, the green beans were undercooked, and the smashed potatoes had an unappetizing sogginess with a strange sweet vinegar flavor. The others at our table ordered a burger and a prime rib sandwich, which they enjoyed. The quality of the food would have been more forgivable if the prices weren't so steep—$49 for the prime rib and $24 for the chicken. Overall, our experience fell short of expectations. The atmosphere and service suggested we were in for a great meal, but we ended up with two overpriced dishes that missed the mark.
This was my first visit, and I had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night or a family gathering. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our meal. The food was delicious and well-prepared, with generous portion sizes that justified the prices. Our table enjoyed the ribeye, salmon, and prime rib, and we had no complaints about the quality of the dishes. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 is that one of our dishes was missing a side, and we didn’t receive the complimentary cornbread mentioned on the menu. Despite this, we definitely plan to come back!
Never having visiting Harper House before , my husband and I decided to celebrate our 26th anniversary by having dinner there. It was truly a wonderful experience from the time we arrived. We both had the rib eye with baked potato and it was cooked to perfection. The corn bread was delicious best we have ever eaten. The server was attentive and helpful. Will definitely be coming back.
Good food service We got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and instead of green beans we got the Mac n cheese. It was all really good. The cornbread and strawberry butter was good too.
We really enjoyed our trip to Harper House. It?s about a 30-40 minute drive for us. It?s not conveniently located, but we enjoyed it enough that it?s worth planning an evening to go. We made reservations, and highly recommend doing so to avoid driving out and it being super busy! We were on the bar side for the live music and don?t regret it! The stage is set inside and ?above? the bar so there?s no bad seat in the house. Food was hot, and obviously very good quality. I had a white Sangria, which was very good. I definitely look forward to a return trip! Understandably, steaks are set at Market Price, but I look forward to trying the ribeye next time.
