Bidra med feedbackGreat little pub hidden away near the Old Percy Shaw factory tagged on to a little microbrewery. We've been on 4 occasions but unfortunately on half of those it was shut (on Friday evenings too! . The beer is fantastic though and the atmosphere is great. Might be worth checking it is open before setting out especially if you've come a long way.
When you walk into the Pallet Bar, you are welcomed with a warm smile and offered samples of any available beer. The staff spoke to me as if we were old friends, making it a lovely experience.
We were brought to this restaurant by a local relative, otherwise we wouldn't have known about it. The restaurant is located just a few yards away from Percy Shaw's old house on a small industrial estate. They have a great variety of beers, a comfortable atmosphere without any loud music. I was impressed by the service - they even let me taste before ordering. I wish we had a place like this nearby instead of the typical ales available in the pubs. I highly recommend this restaurant.
My wife found this just in passing what a find it turned out to be. Quirky, small room built on to the side of the micro-brewery (which does tours tastings) that serves its own traditional, excellent brews as well as some others. A small seating area outside allows a breath of fresh air when the weathers appropriate we've also been on a cold winters night when the fire in the pubs kept us nice warm. A great place with good beer thats well worth finding.
Small bar attached to the brewery where real ales are brewed on site children welcome though we were a group of ladies from the WI enjoying an evening out together
