Las Mesas Mexican Grill - Calera

Have been going here since they opened but Sat. 7/29 was a bad experience. Drinks were very sloppy with glasses sticky. Service was slow and food was not as good. I will still go back and hope it was just a bad day with staff and resume to my favorite spot.

First visit and was very impressed. The salsa was delicious and fresh as was the queso, guacamole, and chips. We ordered the street tacos-shrimp, pork, steak, and chicken- magnificent. The margaritas were average. We will be back for sure!

I’m not sure why anyone would give less than five stars, but this is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever had. The servers and the owner are so friendly and attentive. I am extremely picky about Mexican restaurants, but this has exceeded my expectations greatly. I usually get their enchilada, taco, rice and beans combo which always tastes delightful. Today, I decided to get the los rancheros (their version of dirty rice) and it was so good! They don’t use canned chicken unlike other restaurants. The chips, salsa, and queso are also fantastic! Everything is fast and fresh. I will absolutely be coming here again!

Very friendly fast service. I really love the atmosphere. It was an up beat place to have dinner, However, I got my mine to go. I would’ve love to stay, but I didn’t have time. I will absolutely go again! If you’re ever stopping in Calera and have a taste for some delicious Mexican food. Make sure you try this place out, it was very delicious? I had the enchiladas, rice, and beans.

Carnitas is a must-order! The margaritas are delicious. We also tried the shrimp cocktail, which I would rate an 8/10, and the steak street tacos were fantastic as well. The server was excellent...I can't remember his name, but he was very attentive.
