Bidra med feedbackThe staff are very conscious of vegan and vegetarian cuisine. They make tasty healthy dishes that non-veg folks would like as well.
This is a lovely restaurant - the owner really cares for the presentation of the food, making sure you are happy with everything. Very extensive menu, had a hard time choosing! Great portion sizes. The tea is amazing, I wish I knew where to purchase it. Try the rose tea - phenomenal.
Ambrosia Veggie House Great but other than lunch, pricey / 1009 4 Ave SW, Calgary, Alberta T2P 0K8, Canada (parking on the west side of the building) / 1-587-350-8848 Owner is very friendly > service was very goodI enjoyed the experience in every way with exception of the prices. If money is a non-issue I highly recommend this place at any time of day. If money is a concern I recommend coming for the lunch special. Perhaps I have been away in Thailand too long and everything has gone up in Calgary restaurant pricing since I left a year ago? I had Seaweed Tofu Rolls in Tom Yum Sauce. It was very delicious but it was the size of an appetizer and priced at $14.75The good news for those on a budget – 11am-2pm they serve the lunch combo for $10.95 it includes 5 items from a variety of choices – example you could have spring rolls, sweet potato tempura, veggie ginger beef, vegetables in curry, and veggie fried rice all for $10.95 (brown rice available) Classy looking interior and kept super clean CLOSED Tuesday & Weds. > Thu - Mon 11:00am - 2:00pm & 5:00pm - 9:00pm
I have been here a few times, both for dinner and for their lunch special (which is a really great deal by the way, 2 apps, 2 mains and rice of your choice).I really like the selection, I find the food to be tasty without too much oil, and love that they offer brown rice. It is also great to eat somewhere which makes ordering veggie friendly food so easy. They have a great tea selection as well!Good service, really friendly staff.
You are first impressed with the decor because of its unique way of demonstrating that the restaurant cares about the guest. The service is respectful. We were there in the evening and we had the most pleasant, unhurried dinner. The food was surprising. It was bursting with flavours. Delicious. I felt it was made with tenderness. We had a delicious hot and sour soup for a cool evening and little seaweed wrapped starters (I forget what they were called, but they were crispy little bits of heaven). We had a fresh, delightful hot pot with mushrooms, tofu, and eggplant. Better than most. We also had veggies wrapped in a light wrapper, also very flavourful. We left feeling cared for and relaxed and pleasantly satiated. I have booked a business lunch next week. This is a winner.
