Royal Kabab Express - Calgary

Love the food here. Usually get the sulatani kebab platter with salad for $40 or so. Makes for a great dinner for two and leftovers for lunch the next day

Best donair in Calgary. The owner is great and I love going in and ordering with him. A very awesome and authentic persian place.

One of the previous reviewers referred to the owner as the 'kabob nazi '. this amuses me because I have been referring to this fellow as the 'donair nazi ' for some time. the first time I went in here I told him that I heard he has the best donair in town. He was actually offended that I was insolent enough to dare compare his donair to others. There is a sitting area but customers are forbidden to use it. His seasoning is good. Vegetables are fresh enough. The portions are HUGE. the great divider on this place is that the meat is extraordinarily greasy. This of course makes it very flavorful. But if you don 't like grease stay away.

Delicious, friendly, and great value. I have only tried the shawarma but their recipe is fantastic and a lot of meat is given. I have been quite a few times and plan on going much, much more. Service is kind and you can tell they care about the quality of their food.

I have been to this place many times. His Kabobs are great, great taste, great quality, good portions. However, he is the equivalent of #SoupNazi in Kabob business! I have been calling him #KabobNazi. Whenever I get in, I am scared to ask him anything. It is as if he doesn't want me there and wants to get rid of me ASAP! He has even blocked the access to the chairs so nobody can sit in his shop! Anyways, I'll keep going back to this place until he either bans me, or I can steal his recipes :
