Bidra med feedbackThis has long been one of my favorite spots for lunch or dinner, but my recent experience was quite disappointing. The appetizers, soups, and desserts have always been enjoyable, and I appreciate having a vegetarian option for their burgers. The Gipp Burger used to be my favorite. However, during my last visit, the burger was overcooked to the point of being inedible. It had charred spots, and it was so dry that it could snap in half. Veggie burgers should be cooked differently than meat burgers, and the kitchen needs to be aware of this. There was barely any sauce, and it had only a few tiny pieces of fried onion on top—no lettuce or any other toppings at all. Essentially, it was just a charred patty on a bun, far from the zesty, flavorful meal I remember. I would have sent it back, but unfortunately, the server didn't come by to check on my meal. I left feeling very disappointed.
I didn't stay in a room, but the restaurant was excellent. The service was outstanding, and I would highly recommend it.
After another restaurant canceled our graduation dinner reservation on the same day, Michigan House was incredibly kind and accommodating in getting us a table. The service was fantastic! They catered equally well to my family members with celiac disease and those following a vegan diet, as well as to meat lovers. Plus, the historical memorabilia on the walls was fascinating. I would definitely come back anytime!
Service wasn't very friendly. Burgers were well done and dry when we asked for medium. Nice decor.
August 2024 stopped here to eat and the food was good. The kids liked the food. Very interesting on the inside with all the decorations. I ordered the pulled pork wrap and it was good. Worth stopping by if you are in the area.
