Calverton Fish

There was a bit of a wait in line, but that's not necessarily a bad thing for the shop's reputation.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The fish and chips were excellent, and the value was great. I will definitely return!

The food is great when they have it available. I attempted to get steak pies three weeks in a row but they were sold out. It's frustrating since it was only 5 PM, and I was told they make fresh food daily. I even called ahead to check, but they still didn't seem to get the message about making more available. However, when they do have the food, it’s wonderful. If you're looking for more variety when you want it, I’d recommend the Village Fish Bar in the square instead.

Really nice chipshop. There's good seating inside if you want to eat in. Everything was freshly cooked the day we went and was very tasty.

Popped in after dropping rubbish off at the tip. The shop is so clean that you could eat off the floor, the toilets spotless. I bought the lunchtime special, fish, chips and peas, to take away and thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. The fish was cooked to perfection, the batter crispy and beautifully cooked chips accompanied with peas. And the guy knows how to put on salt and vinegar. By that I mean lots and lots, thank you .
