Playa El Mago - Calvià

As this is the only place where you can go for something to eat and/or drink by the beach, the menu capitalises on that by charging an absolute fortune. My husband and I shared a salmon, burrata and rocket salad with a portion of chips. What arrived was a smattering of rocket, smoked salmon and squished burrata all of which to replicate at home would be about £7. Here, €29! It was a measly, stingy salad. And the fries weren’t fries; they were like kettle crisps. I hate feeling that we’ve been ripped off but omg, we certainly were. The staff weren’t exactly rude but not very friendly or welcoming. As a previous reviewer has said, take a pack up or leave to have lunch elsewhere.

The beach was lovely,so decided to had a drink and bite to eat inbetween topping up our all over tan!! The waiter found us a table then ignored us,giving him eye contact and waving for attention he carried on serving other people who arrived after us!! Eventually after half hour came over with food menus,quickly decided to be told I can't have the dish I wanted ,no reason why just NO!! Then wanted brd&olives but again NO,its complimentary with a main dish!! So my partner had two scoops of half melted sorbet for €6 and we finished our drinks and went back to sunbathing!! Never been served by such rude,ignorant staff,I'd give this one a miss and bring a pack lunch to the beach!!

I went with 4 friends. The restaurant is on the beach next to the water which is really nice. We ordered a variety of tapas to share and soft drinks. We were full and satisfied for under 25€ each.

That beautiful cove that I could visit today, an ideal temperate day for these trips and my first exit to pass through the surroundings of the very beautiful island, where you look at it and not lose anything, sends healthy to the Majorcan

Expensive but we went for the convenience and the food was great. They were able to accommodate 7 of us for lunch. Do NOT get their specialty drinks here it’s not done right. Stick with wine and beer. We ordered shrimps and calamari as appetizers and it was devoured in seconds. The fish plate and seafood paella was really delicious. I recommend making reservations here.
