Bidra med feedbackI rarely write reviews and when I do, unfortunately, they tend to be unfavorable and what 's the point of reviewing an experience that 's just OK . Although we 're not local to Shiela 's, we 've never been disappointed always bringing friends to this specialplace. Last night was another great experience with friends and delicious food. In addition, our server Andrew, was terrific.Honesty, I can 't recall ever having a server quite like him. Beyond his competency as a server, his character was genuine and adelight. Kudos to Sheila 's, Andrew, his parents, mentors and teachers ;
My wife and I stopped in after about 8.5 years due to moving out of the area and what a blessing. We visited with Pablo and Berta the proprietors for a while and enjoyed a wonderful meal cooked by the master chef, Ivan, one of their amazing sons.Andrew another of their 3 boys stopped by our table to see how our dining experience was and what a joy to meet him. The wines,salmon and strogonoff were excellent and nicely prepared as well as quite tasty. We followed dinner with an amazing cremebrulee and coffee. What an amazing place and Pablo's brother provided excellent service as well. We highly recommend this fineestablishment.
We were not impressed with any of the dishes we tried. The Tuna Tartare was of one-star quality, and everything else we ordered was dry. The staff were somewhat lackluster, but they were decent enough.
Since the pandemic, the prices at this restaurant have become outrageous, and the service has declined significantly. For example, paying $10 for a soda is simply unreasonable. The food portions are small considering the high prices. Dining here will easily cost you over $200 for two people, which is unacceptable. The wine pours are tiny, and the overall service has gone downhill. The owner seems to think charging $10 for a soft drink is acceptable! This kind of pricing mentality contributes to inflation, similar to what we've seen with gas prices and car dealerships charging thousands above the manufacturer's suggested retail price. It's time to boycott this place and send a clear message. There are many better dining options available, like Cafe Zack's and Cafe Fiore in Ventura, as well as Adolpho Grill.
Sheila's offers the fine dining experience you desire in Camarillo. I discovered they serve lunch too, so I decided to drop by for a buffalo chicken panko sandwich, which was amazing. They also have a great selection of wines.
