Bidra med feedbackPros: Restaurant, while rustic, is fun and food quite good. Wine is much too expensive. Beds were comfortable. Cons: Paper thin walls. On one side the guy snoring kept us awake and then the kids the other side started playing and talking (not yelling) at 6am Bone crushing comforter, which meant you had a choice of a sheet and thin coverlet or a much too heavy and warm comforter. Eventually, they gave us blankets. No where to store comforter so, unfortunately, they were stored on the floor (expect this happens often) Inadequate lighting. Just one lamp between the queen beds. Room was always gloomy. Just a hanging rail and 3 hangers; for people staying 3 nights. Eventually gave us more hangers. Only 3 small drawers. Large area which could have contained a wardrobe and storage drawers had only a bench. Housekeeping only after the 2nd night. This is just cost cutting even though our small inadequate room cost over $300 a night. Tiny bathroom, only one hook to hang towels. Lovely location but won't be staying in this motel again.
We arrived at 5pm with no reservation as Booking.com had cancelled the room we had booked elsewhere on Moonstone Landing. Irma on reception was so helpful and booked us a room which was out of service due to a faint smell of a dog that had just stayed there we were happy just to have a room the free breakfast was an amazing bonus. The service was fantastic and she made us feel so much better after a stressful afternoon. The firepits and games are great as was the pool. We had fantastic breakfast in the restaurant next door. We should have gone there for dinner as the other restaurants in walking distance were totally full by 8.30pm and not taking any more names. Definitely recommend for a family visit
Oceanpoint Ranch was great for our family. Outdoor games and a nice simple room. Walking distance to the beach and we loved taking the boardwalk along the coast. The restaurant next door can be skipped as well as the 2 within walking distance.
We had a lovely two night stay at Oceanpoint Ranch with our two young girls. The property has so many activities for families, it couldn't have been more perfect for a coastal retreat. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and tide pools daily and the girls LOVED the nightly campfires, s'mores and lawn games. The onsite restaurant Cow Tipper exceeded my expectations, I would absolutely recommend having dinner there at least one night. If you see short ribs on the menu, order them!!! The staff was also very friendly , I just love staying in a small town. The downtown area was a short 5 minute drive and was packed full of charm, great eateries and cute boutique shops. I will definitely return to Oceanpoint Ranch on our next visit to Cambria! Thank you Oceanpoint Ranch and Staff!!
I had a very mixed experience at this hotel. Maybe I will start with the pros first. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The scenery was gorgeous on the grounds. Okay that's it for the pros. Now the negatives. It started when I tried to check in at approximately 2:00 with a blonde haired woman wearing glasses at the desk. She told me the room wasn't ready yet, and the check-in is at 4:00 p.m. she followed that by saying she would call me when the room was ready. I finally got tired of waiting and showed back up there at approximately 3:45 p.m. there was a different clerk there than the original one. I found out the room was ready, and the other woman went home without calling me to let me know the room was ready. That really smells of poor service. Inside the room, not real impressive. I bring a laptop with me to do some work, and they do have a table with two chairs. But if you scan the walls there are no outlets to plug into. None! Also had a dead bug on the floor, and the shower mat looks like it was left from the last people because it have black stains on it and was moist. The room doesn't have a closet for your clothes. Instead there is a pipe hanging from the ceiling right by the front door that you hang your clothes on. Not very deluxe. And last, I gave some ice chest cooler bags to the clerk to put in their freezer to freeze them for my ice chest. I like to do that so that I don't use their ice for my ice chest. When I got them back on the day I left they were still in the same condition I gave them to the clerk. I'm going to guess she put them in the refrigerator instead of the freezer. I don't know given these things that we experienced, I won't be back. You make up your mind.
