They offer a beautiful Austrian dining experience with the largest carving I have ever seen outside of Austria. From my first visit until today, I have always been greeted warmly by the staff and enjoyed a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. While the beer selection may not be outstanding, most people come to boopshi's for the schnapps and cocktails, which unfortunately I did not get to try. The food is amazing and the portions are quite large, but that is to be expected considering the quality and size come at a price. This restaurant is not cheap, but as long as you are prepared for the cost, you are sure to have a great experience. In short, my opinion of boopshi's can be summarized into one phrase - check it out.
I discovered this restaurant while searching for unique dining spots in London. It was advertised as a carving splat place, which was a new concept to me. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided helpful explanations of the menu and dining experience. The food was good, but not outstanding, consisting of calf carving with accompaniments like pickles. The drinks were interesting and delicious, although a bit pricey. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I'm happy I tried it out. However, I don't foresee myself returning in the future. The average cost for a meal with one drink was around £30.
I really enjoy this restaurant. There aren't many places in London that offer traditional Austrian food, especially not with the same cool, effortless, and accessible vibe for foodie diners. The portions are huge, with various toppings available such as a fried egg, sardelle, and capers. I chose the egg and capers, and the combination of the tangy capers with the rich, runny egg on the crispy bread was delicious. The imperial smarrn dessert was a tasty traditional treat to finish off the meal. The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly. I look forward to returning soon.
We went to boopshi for our team Christmas dinner and it was very pleasant! the premise of the restaurant is carving, sausage and schnaps. in contrast to herman ze german around the corner this is a real restaurant where the waiters come and take their order. I have tried 2 of the sausages (the bratwurst and the Kase-Brockwurst – one with soft cheese just under the skin – amazing! with a side of spatzel n cheese with added spectacle that was all beautiful (if a little heavy, but it is the type of food they want in December! . other members of the party tried the carving that also looked good. the restaurant is very small, so they all sit very close together. the only other part I would add is that a quantity of items are an additional cost, so it is quite easy to add for the bill. good eating and service although – perfect comfort eating!
Great chicken schnizel place for lunch. They give you a huge sandwich for £5. They also have amazing pickles. You can add all kinds of extras on your burger like duck eggs etc. I liked their pickles a lot. The sandwiches are really big and messy to eat. I just wish the bun was a little more structurally sound, by the time you are almost done with it, you are holding a wet mound of food in your hands. I went there twice, the first time the food was better than the second time, so maybe not super consistent.
