Bidra med feedbackWe drive a long way to dine here and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is always super clean, the food is always hot, delicious, and the portions are huge. We, in fact, recommend this restaurant over closer Chinese restaurants in the area. The drive is well worth it.And if one of the wait staff “is grumpy”, just remember they too are human and just might have a bad day. Not everyone can ALWAYS have a smile on their face 24/7.
Delicious!! Great Cantonese food. The restaurant itself is beautiful and ornate. The price was good for the quality of the meal. Having lived in Hong Kong for a while, this food took me back there. Can't wait to order again.Wheelchair accessibility: No issues and plenty of room
Great atmosphere, but the guy at the front was grumpy the whole time, and only one of the ladies was nice. Food was decent but on the sweeter side. Music was great and the portions were huge. Good place.Food: 3/5
Camden Island does some things very well. I really enjoyed the Hunan Beef (as memory serves), in which the sauce was rich and flavorful, the vegetables were varied and fresh, and it had slices of quality beef, not the spongy mystery beef you can often find at lesser restaurants. And unlike the sautéed dishes at many other Asian restaurants, it heated up well and was enjoyable as leftovers too.I cannot speak so highly of their spring rolls. It tastes like they were fried in a flavorless oil like canola or it needed to be changed, giving it an ashy flavor. The vegetables inside seemed to be just long stringy strands of barely cooked cabbage with no flavor, and a little shredded carrot thrown in. They were tough, hard to eat, and had an unpleasant flavor. I decided not to eat them.Their customer service really is exemplary, even though they may be telling you something you don’t want to hear (I.e. they were willing to credit my card but unable to do so without my making the 20-mile trek back, as it took -that long- for the thermonuclear rolls to cool). He was extremely polite and accommodating, despite my hunger-and-road-fatigue-induced crankiness. I think they just need to figure out a different recipe for the spring rolls. Once they do, they will probably be good, as other items at the restaurant seem to be of a much higher quality.
I recently visited Camden Island Restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by very bad customer service and a rude attitude displayed by the staff. While the food was good, the overall dining experience left much to be desired.Firstly, the service was incredibly slow, and it seemed as though the staff were more engaged in chatting amongst themselves than attending to the customers. I found it frustrating to wait for extended periods before anyone paid attention to our table or took our orders. Moreover, the demeanor of some staff members was unacceptable. Their dismissive and impolite attitude towards customers was evident, making the atmosphere uncomfortable and unwelcoming. This lack of basic courtesy and respect for patrons greatly affected the overall ambiance of the restaurant. On a positive note, the food served at Camden Island Restaurant was delicious. The menu offered a variety of tasty dishes, and the chef's skills were evident in the flavors presented. However, it's important to remember that good food alone cannot compensate for a disappointing customer service experience. In conclusion, I regret to say that I cannot recommend Camden Island Restaurant based on my recent visit. While the food was enjoyable, the slow service and rude attitude of the staff overshadowed any positive aspects. I hope the management takes these criticisms constructively and works towards improving their customer service, as it plays a crucial role in shaping diners' overall impressions of the establishment.
