Bidra med feedbackLove the feel..kind of funky/rustic combo. Most of the decor is also for sale which I thought was a cool idea. Most breakfasts run around $9 plus drink, lunches the same. Son had French Toast, he liked it pretty well. I had Meat Scramble which was very good. Ask for the hash browns to be cooked crispy..ours were kind of mushy...they are a little thicker than most as they are round instead of flat. Had some kind of seasoning mixed in that was tasty. Husband had basic Eggs, Bacon, Toast and Hash Browns..they were o.k., but he thought over priced. I would go back again, Husband wouldn't.
I tried the breakfast special, which was an Egg, Cheese, and Bacon sandwich on an English Muffin. It may seem simple, but it was truly delicious and full of flavor. The hash browns were cooked to perfection, exactly how I prefer them—extra crispy, just as I asked. The meal also included some tasty strawberries and blueberries. The menu features some appealing options as well. I will definitely be back! The Old Town Grill, located where the Sugarpine used to be, is currently open for breakfast and lunch from 7 AM to 3 PM. They plan to start serving dinner soon once they’ve ironed out a few details.
This restaurant was a complete disaster. I visited on a Sunday morning, and although I understand it was busy, we waited over an hour and a half for biscuits and gravy and a veggie omelette. The food was just average—if you're willing to pay $8 for two biscuits with a bit of gravy on top, this is the spot for you. And when I say busy, there are only nine tables in the entire place, so it shouldn’t have been that hectic. The best way to describe this experience would be either a NIGHTMARE or a TRAIN WRECK. Also, they really ought to provide a contamination suit for using the restroom.
I had brunch here today and found the service to be quick, while the food was good—albeit a bit pricey—there was plenty of it. However, I’m giving it a 1-star rating because a woman brought her small dog inside, carrying it in her arms, and was seated near the kitchen. I don't understand why anyone would bring a dog into a restaurant, and if the management allows this, they should at least ask customers to leave their pets outside. We have family in the area and frequently visit Camino, but I doubt we'll return to this place. When the needs of an animal take precedence over the comfort of paying customers, I can't support that.
I'm giving this restaurant a review that is better than average, not necessarily because of the food I had today (which was tasty but not what I expected), but due to several other factors. The menu is diverse and pleasantly unpredictable, and when the weather is nice, the patio is a lovely place to dine. I appreciated that they offered sautéed vegetables as a side option for sandwiches and burgers instead of just fries. However, I was disappointed to find that the Earthburger I ordered seemed to be made with the same black bean burger that I buy frozen from Costco. While they're decent, I don't expect to see such items in restaurants. I believe Bricks makes its own black bean burgers, which would be preferable. On the positive side, the service was pretty good and the staff was cheerful. I will likely return, but I won’t be ordering the Earthburger again.
