Bidra med feedbackNice small town restaurant, the surroundings are calm and there is a little church nearby. We came here for lunch, unfortunately there weren't many choices, but we did enjoy our bread with ham.
Visited every time we are in Santa Pola. Great little find, in Valverde village/hamlet, everyone in town surrounding areas know of it, the buffet smorgasboard is legendary, as are the daily specials menu; very good tapas. Even on-the-bone jamon, which the barman cuts very fine slivers. Seating inside at the bar area, a more formal dining room adjoining, or upstairs, or outside in the spacious annexe terrace, it can be busy. Annual fiesta time, it is inundated with patrons, tables are set up in the plaza and live-music band dancing) is the entertainment. Prices are reasonable. I have gait/walking challenges stroke), all sightseeing has to be well-researched and not overly taxing; I wear a legbrace. There are carparking spots closeby
I don't recommend it, we went to eat some quick tapas (Iberian ham sandwich, bravas and Roman-style squid) and the calamari was soft and the bravas didn't stand out. What we didn't like at all was that it took them a long time to serve us, more than half an hour, when the rest of the tables were already served. Also, some tables asked for things later and they were served immediately. For what we ordered, the quality of the food and the location seemed expensive.
Marvelous!! Great food and super friendly waiter
Dinner here is a delicacy, try the ham and cheese, the secret, the bravas etc.
