If you’re on a tour of Portugal and are looking for a place off the beaten path where locals go, then this is it! Simple, canteen style with excellent bacalau and meat dishes served with home-made wine and bread that we would call “artisanal” back in the states. Here they simply call it Pão. Just like the food, it’s simply prepared but you feel like it should be Michelin rated since it satisfies and leaves nothing else to be desired. Except perhaps for some dessert at the end, which you guessed it, is homemade. They don’t accept bank cards so bring cash. You won’t need a wallet full as the prices are certainly budget friendly. Go here you won’t regret it!

A sopa servida apresentou um bom aspecto e um sabor muito bom. O bacalhau estava excelente. A broa é o expoente máximo. Serviço simples. Muito bom. Hoje, 31 de Agosto 2023, a sopa manteve a qualidade anterior, o mesmo não se poderei dizer acerca do bacalhau que não estava muito bom. No geral, a qualidade decresceu.

Restaurante com comida saborosa sempre cheio, recomendo o bacalhau lascado ou o leitão com vinho branco da casa. O pão/broa servido quente é tentador e guloso pois uma pessoa come um inteiro com manteiga sem dar conta... Obrigada ao Sr. Rui por nos receber sempre bem. Até já
