Ossie's Fish - Canterbury

They were here twice and had a great experience. the first time it was about 9:40PM and they were ready to close. I came in when I went by to see what they had left, so I took the last one and a part of the chip. to prevent food being wasted, the working guy gave me two sausages, so many chips, and he charged us the same amount. I went to dinner for the second time. I asked for shattered sausage and a large part of chips. the chips were one because of the heat lamps, and the guy who works offered me a new stack. I told him not to worry about it and that I don't care about the chips sitting there since one was there. he has sorted out my order: throw in a pocket, chips in the time. he put so many chips in there, looked at me and asked if that was enough I told him that it would do me for a week. then, because I didn't get him to make a new batch when he just went into the break, he gave me an extra. I love this place. eating is excellent, and the staff are among the nicest, friendly people I met. comes at least weekly.

It took a little longer than expected, but that was worth waiting. excellent eating, perfect chips and beautiful fish. probably the most beautiful piece of fish I've had for a long time.

Nice staff. good food. they prepared to eat freshly so they had to wait for it. but they have all free chips to pass time.

It is everyone who loves most, and most possibly the greatest coupling of all time. but it is also one of the most difficult to get right. as such, canterbury's finest fried fish is lost in an ozean of fat mediocrity, and its chips in a sea of tenderness. but as pearls in oysters, a good chip appears once in a past – one where the fish is always fresh, the battery crispy and the chips fluffy. ossies offers qualitatiw high quality and reliable fresh of fish. but while it is the fat, flaky filets of damp cadry in crispy and chewy enveloped, which earn ossie the best in canterbury. from its beach rack interior to chirpy, chatty service it has the whole deal. they also have to try their range of pickles — choose them from ice, soot or red twin rings.

Awesome place. Friendly staff and locals. Great food. Definitely gonna go back when we're there again!
