El Tarasco Mexican - Cape Coral

I’m giving one star for the original Mexican furniture and decor, which creates a wonderful atmosphere. Another star for the friendly and professional staff—they are truly amazing! However, I can only give one star for the prices, as $22 for fajitas and $15 for nachos seem quite expensive. For authenticity, I have to give another star, but I acknowledge that it’s challenging to serve true Mexican cuisine in Florida. Those familiar with real Mexican food often find most local offerings lacking, while those who aren’t familiar might not enjoy traditional dishes at all. The real issue here is the claim of authenticity without actually delivering authentic Mexican dishes. Lastly, I’ll give one star for having multiple TVs with sports and the sound on, which competes with the background music at a higher volume. This creates a chaotic environment that makes it difficult to have intimate conversations.

Quickly has quickly become a favorite in my boyfriend's and my dining out routine! The food is incredibly delicious and truly authentic, and the staff is exceptionally kind and friendly. The restaurant is always bustling with diners, and we enjoy sitting at the bar. My boyfriend's go-to dish is the El Paso dinner. We've also tried the Birria tacos and quesadillas, and I seriously want to sample everything on the menu. I wholeheartedly recommend it—12 out of 10!

If I could give less than one star, I would. I will NEVER return after the experience I had tonight. There was a miscommunication with my phone order, and when I called to have it remade, they asked if I could bring back the incorrect food. When I did, they blamed me for the mistake and said I would need to pay for a new meal. I refused to pay for something no one would eat. Then, a girl brought over the manager, who grudgingly agreed to give me the correct meal after we argued. However, they took an excessively long time to remake my order. Having worked in food service before, I would never treat a guest as poorly as I was treated tonight. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST customer service I have ever encountered.

Place was incredibly busy. Seems like lots of repeat customers, clearly a favorite spot for some. It was pricey for average quality. I will keep shopping for a Mexican restaurant.

The food here is really good! I had the beef taco and a chicken quesadilla with rice/beans. My husband had ceviche de camarone. He loved his meal! Margarita was good too!!!
