Bite Into Maine - CAPE ELIZABETH

This was one of the best experiences I've ever had. It was my first trip to Maine, and after researching various lobster rolls, I ended up trying about 4 or 5 different places, but this one was my favorite (Maine-style, cold). The lobster was incredibly fresh and tender, and the roll was perfectly warm, crispy, and buttery. The location couldn't be better, with a beautiful lighthouse and breathtaking coastline right nearby. They also get bonus points for their deliciously sticky whoopie pies! The prices were similar to other spots, and although I opted for the 6oz size—the largest roll I had—I have no regrets. They really pile on the filling!

The Bite in Maine food truck at Portland Head is a fantastic spot for delicious lobster rolls and stunning views. While you enjoy perfectly crafted lobster rolls, you can take in the sights of the lighthouse and the coastline. However, it is on the pricier side for a New England experience. Our group of four ordered three traditional Maine lobster rolls and one larger Connecticut-style roll, which came with potato chips. After adding four sodas, the total came to around $150 (before tip). The local Mainer members of our group were a bit taken aback by the prices, but everyone agreed that both the food and the location were excellent.

I had a wonderful experience! It was my first time in Maine and my first time trying a lobster roll. I chose the traditional Maine style, while my husband opted for the Chipotle and our friend went with the Connecticut style. The presentation was impressive! The lobster roll I ordered was good, but I think I would prefer the Connecticut style if I get a chance to try it again.

This place was super delicious. We found this little place by recommendation from a food blogger. The lobster was so much better quality than what we used to be in FL. We tried the Connecticut style and the Maine style. both were good! The blueberry soda was amazing!

Place opens up at 11 AM and had lines for up to an hour. After that, no waiting. Orders were filled fast and staff was friendly. As for the food, don't skimp out on getting a lobster roll. You have a choice of 4.5 oz or a 6 oz, and I recommend the 6 oz. The Maine style is popular, the Connecticut with butter is my favorite, and the Japanese curry flavor is unique. This Bite into Maine food truck was the highlight of visiting the lighthouse area. Don't miss out, get your order in, definitely worth it.
