Auburn Place Suites - Cape Girardeau

We stayed here during our move to Florida. Customer service was friendly and efficient, decor was nice, room was clean and quiet, grounds were quiet, bed was comfy, let's are welcome for free. We had a huge bathroom with excellent water pressure in the shower. Reasonable prices: I recommend booking through the hotel rather than discount travel sites, etc. We had to book a second room unexpectedly through the hotel rather than Hotels.com and got a better rate. I'd suggest this hotel to anyone for various occasions.

I suppose the price is good but the Rooms are less than stellar. They are in desperate need of updating. Would not use again.

I stayed here to visit my long distance boyfriend, and was very impressed. The hotel was beautiful and clean, with a lovely set up. The breakfast was always fresh and delicious, and the indoor pool was a perfect temperature. They even had a cookie night, where they serve free cookies in the lobby. There was wonderful customer service too...... I do have one complaint however, hence the lack of 5 stars. While my mother and I were settling down to sleep, there was a family with several children running around and slamming doors. We talked to the family to get them to stop, but we were surprised that no one that worked there stopped them in the first place.

Very happy with the cleanliness and amenities for the price. Pros: nice recreation area and public seating, cleanliness, friendly staff, pool/hot tub, close to many restaurants Cons: hotel is a bit dated, small fitness room (only 2 treadmills and 1 elliptical)

I attempted to book a room tonight and pay in cash, but I was met with suspicion, as if I were a potential criminal. They insisted on a $200 deposit in addition to paying the full room charges upfront. Given how dimly lit and poorly scented the place was, I couldn't figure out what they were afraid of. I'm 60 years old, had just driven 225 miles for a doctor's appointment, and simply wanted a place to rest. I'm a lifelong non-smoker and was far too tired to steal anything or damage the room. Cash is reliable. It's frustrating. I'll take my business elsewhere.
