Various Cheesesteak #867. Very good little stop from the beaten path. I really like what they do at Gem Market. It looks like they recently added a pizza oven on the market. Very good cheese steak, but a little too much oil. The oil helped keep the heat and melt the cheese, but it was just a little chaotic. Very good cheese steak.

Deep plate was great. The lady who makes the pizza, Dawn was great to talk while we ate, made the experience so much better.

Great customer service. Comfortable atmosphere. Tasty mozzarella sticks. Definitely will be returning.

I ordered a medium pizza on a Tuesday night that was part of a special for $15.99. When I placed my order, I asked for a white pizza, but I was told that only the red pizza was part of the special. I called back to cancel my order, but the owner said I couldn't. I ended up paying $27.46 for a medium red pizza and a white pizza, and I have to say, it was the worst pizza I've ever had. It's a shame to say this, but I wouldn't recommend this pizzeria.

The Gem is a hidden treasure that has been serving the area for nearly thirty five years. You can't go wrong with anything on the extensive menu- which is home to hundreds of food choices. If you can't find something appealing on the menu- you probably aren't hungry. I would suggest the signature cheese steak hoagie. The pizza is also quite yummy- great crust with a nice sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese. This philly guy stops in all the time on my way to the beach.
