Bidra med feedbackDisappointing experience. Service extremely slow wasn’t even busy. Cutlery was dirty. Pudding was brought out before we had the mains. I explained we hadn’t received our mains and he still left the pudding. Waited 40mins plus for food. Chips were cold. Would not go here for food again
I visited this diner on a Sunday morning as part of a Christmas shopping trip. Unplanned, we saw the diner was only half full, so decided to eat there. Having waited outside at a sign saying ‘wait here to be seated’, I was somewhat dismayed to see the waiter walk past, several times (even making eye contact with me at least twice) and not even acknowledge my presence. Finally shown to a booth we waited a further 15 minutes to place our order. As the establishment was half empty, I couldn’t understand the delay, so started to order online. The waiter saw this and came over, telling us to cancel the order as he would be quicker. The hot drinks arrived 10 minutes later, however our order too a further 50 minutes to arrive. Both breakfasts were at best, like warm, the egg yolks were solid and the sausage patties appeared on the side of uncooked. Not once were we asked if the food was ok and an apology for the delay only arrived after my partner laughed out loud when an apology was made to a table that had arrived 20 minutes after us. Avoid this place. I will never return. Total waste of money
I 've been going to Ed 's for years, the food has always been good. I went back for the first time in years a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately the service there is the lowest standard I 've seen anywhere, the staff simply do not care at all and mostly cannot be bothered to listen to what you 're saying. When they do something wrong as a result of not caring, they act like it 's your fault. There was 3 of us we started by making a big order via the app ordering system, all of us had different burgers and things but everyone had chicken wings as a side so 3 portions were ordered. About 15 minutes later, the woman serving came over and said we have no chicken wings and just stared at us like this was our problem to fix. Usually you would offer a refund or another menu item and at least apologise for taking the order for wings but she literally looked angry at us and said nothing further waiting for us to fix the issue, she was literally acting like we were idiots for ordering chicken wings and how could we possibly have thought they were available. A competent place would list them as out of stock on the app, that 's how this works, or at least tell us soon after we order not when the food is supposed to be almost ready. And apologise and offer a solution, this is just basic hospitality manners, it is not our issue to fix. Anyway the 2 other people just asked for a refund on the chicken wings, as they had ordered meals anyway and were happy to just have those. I had ordered nothing else, so I said can I have chicken tenders instead? The lady said yes of course , but when she had done speaking to the others she said ok so I 'm just refunding all of the chicken wings yeah? . And I said except mine, I wanted tenders instead remember? and she said yes of course sorry one tenders and then walked off. Then food came out with another staff member, and everything except the tenders arrived. This new member of staff said just to let you know the refund has been processed for all the wings . I said are the chicken tenders coming too? Bear in mind this is all I had ordered so I had no food at this point. The guy apologised and said he 'd go check. He came back and said I checked the order and can 't see any tenders there? . I said I had requested them instead of the chicken wings that were out of stock. The guy said in a polite voice, but with a bit of a tone, but we can 't refund you and bring you another food too, it 's one or the other. I said I very specifically didn 't ask for a refund? And he said sorry all of the wings have been refunded as requested, if you want chicken tenders you will have to make a new order. Bear in mind, we 've now been here for 30 minutes, everyone else has finished their food, we have to be at a gig in 10 minutes, ordering again is not really plausible. So to summarise: Chicken wings were available on the app despite not being available The fact we ordered these was not noticed for 15 minutes until most of the other food was almost ready I requested chicken tenders instead of a refund 3 separate times, everyone of which was acknowledged I was refunded anyway and then treated like an idiot for expecting the tenders that two separate members had confirmed I would receive The result of this was no food for me, and the only solution the restaurant offered was well order again as if this was my fault, even though everyone else had finished their food and we had to leave. All in all this was a terrible experience that left me stood up at a gig for 4hours on an empty stomach. I understand things run out of stock and this can 't be helped, but they couldn 't have gone about it in a worse way, and on 3 separate occasions they asked me a question then either chose not to listen or immediately forgot the answer, then blamed me for this. I will say, my 2 friends said the food was great, and I 'm sure it was. If you want a quick good burger it 's a good place. But the service is the lowest of the low, with staff literally blaming you for their issues, ignoring your requests and then blaming you for it. As someone with low self esteem and shyness, being ignored on multiple occasions like this is really quite hurtful and that 's without going into the fact they were unable to serve me any food on this occasion despite multiple requests
Absolutely horrendous service. Sat there for an hour and 20 mins before food even came. Feel sorry for staff as one person serving and one cooking, not their fault but if you dont want to wait hours for your food I would avoid. 2 tables left when we were there because they waited so long. Food below average also.
Went for breakfast at Ed’s in Bridgend for first time. Food delivered very quickly but only sausage tasted good. Soggy toast, hash browns soggy and cold. Tub of beans only two actual beans all source and cold. Plates cold too! Will not be going back again.
