Open Mind - Carlisle

I visited this restaurant on the last Friday in September around 4:00 PM. The downstairs area was 90% full with a friendly group of locals who were passionately discussing the removal of a tree. The beer was good, so I decided to stay for a few drinks. I will definitely come back again.

There weren't many choices in town for a snack in the late afternoon or early evening, but we stumbled upon this place around 4 pm. The staff was lovely, the other customers were pleasant (including a very friendly dog), and the drinks and food were quite good.

I am disappointed to see that this bar has transformed from a lively and bustling nighttime spot to a more relaxed daytime cafe bar. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this change, it is hard to forget the fantastic atmosphere of Friday and Saturday nights - with great music, friendly staff, and an overall fun vibe. It is a real shame to see that it is no longer the same.

Popped in on a cold Sunday lunchtime as it looked welcoming and is dog friendly. Nice atmosphere, good service and I really like all the wood, the tables and decor. Mrs. R enjoyed her cheesy Nachos.

Friendly staff , cocktails where really good tried several of them and loved them all , good vyb , friendly bouncer would return here again
