Barrio Eat Mexican - Carlsbad

This charming little restaurant was a wonderful spot to relax and grab a bite after a lovely day at the beach. The place was quite clean and comfortable, and the prices were reasonable, with generous portion sizes—even the kids' meals were quite substantial. Overall, I had a great experience; the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious.

The food was quite good, but the customer service left much to be desired. One of the waitresses was so intoxicated while taking our order that she asked if she could sit down and then actually did so. I've never encountered anything like that in a restaurant before. To make matters worse, the waitresses started arguing with each other, which was very unprofessional. Getting a glass of water took an incredibly long time as well.

On a brighter note, my earlier post praised this place as a hidden gem, and I couldn’t wait to return! I highly recommended the fajitas and enchiladas—they were fantastic!

The staff here is amazing! We come for the margaritas, and the food is fantastic too. I absolutely love Carlsbad and this place!

This is the second time they tried to charge me for a beer I didn't drink. The first time, I let it slide, but not this time. I also expected the burrito to be bigger, but it was about the same size as what you’d get at Taco Bell.
