This charming restaurant is a secret that needs to be revealed. Tucked away among a strip of shops in a Carlsbad industrial park, Bologna Gourmet is a tiny family owned and operated restaurant serving excellent Italian cuisine in a pleasant setting. We benefitted by the quiet atmosphere where we could converse without shouting and appreciated the excellent service. Highly recommended!

Bologna Gourmet is the small, quiet, friendly and small great restaurant around the corner. Andrea and the staff are amazing as well as the food. Presentation and taste go hand in hand with the continued quality we experience year after year. Do not judge this wonderful dining spot by the location, it is and has always been a favorite.

Staff is few and they passionate about their food and wine. Perfect evening with phenomenal food. The mussels were delicious but that broth was the main attraction— we had to order more bread to dip!! The octopus was so smoky and tender, it was a hit too! Our meals delighted and satisfied all our guests. The wine recommendation was spot on. Delightful evening and no one rushed us to leave.
