Shorehouse Kitchen Carlsbad

Shorehouse was really yummy! Pro tip, you can add yourself to the waitlist on Yelp when you are within 15 miles of the location. This was really helpful because the wait for this brunch place is usually over an hour long and is super busy. I’ve seen this place on my walks around the village and it’s always so busy. After eating here, I can see why. The food is interesting and modern, and super delicious. There is an extensive drink and coffee menu. I will need to come back soon to try more! My table got the pistachio veggie eggs Benedict, salmon eggs Benedict, mango guava pancakes and the blueberry lemon corn pancakes. For drinks, we got the salted caramel latte and the honey lavender cortado (with housemade macadamia nut milk).

Enjoyed a delicious meal here with my children. We ordered to share, the flatbread with roasted tomatoes and goat cheese. My daughter ordered the Monterey omelette with hash browns and sourdough toast. My son ordered the kids meal, panko crusted chicken strips with sliced banana. I ordered a cappuccino, along with the poblano chicken chili and jalapeño cornbread. Everything was delicious. Cappuccino tasted authentic. The food was great. The service was good. We were seated at their outdoor patio seating. I recommend coming here.

I was excited to see chilequiles on the menu and I wasn't disappointed when trying them, absolutely packed with flavor. They needed a little bit of salt and the salt shaker was a bit chunky as they tend to be in humid environments but I made it work. The server was very considerate about my wheelchair and made sure to get a table where I could park it close.I was worried my kids wouldn't find anything but my daughter got a waffle. And when the attendant mentioned chocolate chips, she won my daughter over. They made it a wonderful experience. That and my kids got very excited whenever a train went by. The train is a bit noisy but I didn't care with how happy they made my kids.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu with activities for them to do as well as the kids menu on the other side. Also sitting outside watching the trains go by was an unexpected plus for my kids.

This is the go to place for great breakfast in Carlsbad, California. Go there anytime for breakfast as it is served all day. The coffee is great too. So stop in, relax and have a great meal.
