Located close to the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch, Tip Top Meats is a German restaurant and butcher shop. The restaurant area is a counter order, not a served eatery. There is a relatively large seating area. The portions are ridiculously large and not aesthetically impressive but very good for the type of food. The butchery/deli has an array of frozen meats from your typical beef and chicken to whole ducks and Elk, as well as a variety of organ meats. They also sell sausages, sauces, mustards, alcohol, chocolates and other foods.

I came here for breakfast and it was great I highly recommend their coffee, I had it hot and black. The coffee was excellent. I also got the big John breakfast which I think is 3 eggs, a choice of meat, and potatoes. All the food was prepared well and presented wonderfully. I thought it was cool how there was a store that sold products connected to the diner and I purchased some of the coffee grounds that they had served at the diner. The service was great, the waitresses were kind and polite. I highly recommend you go to this place it didn't disappoint.
