Bidra med feedbackExcellent food and service, Crab Cakes great and the Shrimp and Grits were excellent full of flavor. I highly recommend you check them out.
The service was disappointing, and the food fell short of expectations. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked, though they were well-seasoned. The spicy pimento cheese dip lacked heat and had a texture reminiscent of Velveeta. The crab Rangoon tacos had a strong fishy taste, while the grilled tarragon chicken was tough and dry enough that I considered sending it back, and the accompanying sauce was quite bland. The interior decor is very minimal and lacks character, though it's worth mentioning that there is a substantial amount of patio seating available. I’ve come across many positive reviews and photos from this place, so perhaps I just happened to visit on an off day.
The location, atmosphere, and patio are lovely, and it's conveniently within walking distance of the Carmel shops. TL:DR Average southern food; above average prices. Came here for Devour Indy and we tried the Sea Island Platter and the fried chicken platter. The first thing that came out was the creamed corn soup. It was pretty good. The seasoning that was put on top was key. Unfortunately both the fried chicken and the chicken on the sea island platter were dry and flavorless. The balsamic glaze on the sea island chicken was necessary to make that dish more juicy. We also ordered a Sun
The outdoor seating is delightful, creating a wonderful atmosphere with overhead lights and a relaxed setup. While the service was a bit slow, it was a Friday night, so I didn't mind too much. I really enjoyed the deviled egg flight—it was a unique take on the classic appetizer. The cornbread reminded me more of corn cake, served with a very sweet butter. I didn’t dislike it, but it wasn't particularly impressive either. For our main courses, we tried the Surf and Turf special and the Fried Chicken Platter.
