Little Swiss Cafe - Carmel

Best Speckei Benedict. You do not skip the Hollandaise sauce and you can say it is authentic and homemade. Big coffee, baked beef, crispy hash brown and the best Belgian waffle I ever had. Outdoor tables with heating to take the cold from the morning air and picturesque interiors that feel like at home. Unpretentious and Delicious with great service!!

Discovered this quaint cafe in Carmel with a decor reminiscent of a small Swiss chalet. It is cozy and warm made more so by Maddie's friendly smile and outstanding service. I chose a vegetarian omlet with hash browns, which were delicious. Another highlight is the fresh butter croissants with Disckson's strawberry jaw, which is terrific.

Well made breakfast food. Blintzes were sweetened cottage cheese like filling wrapped in crepe, with toasted top and sprinkles of powdered sugar. Three of them were served with side of cream, a few cut up strawberries and strawberry jam. A huge sweet breakfast for one. The eggs Benedict was well made, delicious with hash browns and whatever meat on top of English muffins. Another huge breakfast item. Coffee was okay. Pretty ordinary breakfast place in Carmel. Looked like not all staff were wearing a mask (neither indoors or outdoors), but don't know the Monterey mask rule. Felt safe enough to eat outside.

A bit of a wait for outside dining, but well worth the wait. The blintzes are amazing! NEW VISIT 9/26/21 Stopped by The Little Swiss Cafe again for breakfast. As usual, great food. We hit the timing right and we're seated inside immediately. We ordered coffee and breakfast. We also ordered the cheese blitzes again. They are so yummy. The order comes with three blitzes (though the photo only shows one! . Too much food really, but we couldn't resist ordering the blitzes again. If you're in Carmel, give them a try!

The croissants were amazing, and the Eggs Benedict with lox was fantastic. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a real treat. I will definitely return. The staff was friendly, and the location is lovely—a little gem in Carmel.
