Bidra med feedbackI've eaten 8 times this year at Olde Saltys and loved it. Love fried green tomatoes! Not a chicken eater, but the Chicken Florentine is AMAZING, was recommended by the waitress so I had to try. The Crab legs were perfectly damped. I'm back.
Nice place to relax. On a recent trip to Carolina Beach I came to Old Salty 's. What my eye caught was the number of seniors enjoying a meal. For me meant good food, good prices and good atmosphere. I went in and enjoyed my meal in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Later that day I was back for another meal. Yeah, she's a little salty, but an absolute hoot. The waitresses were so friendly and I enjoyed my two meals there. Not the best food, but I'm sure it was okay. I'll go back to Old Salty's for the next time.
Great place. Full bar. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and it was great. I had the tuna steak with grilled zucchini and grilled green beans. Also great. My Gf had the grilled shrimps with Cole Slav and grilled zucchini too, and it was all good. Great service.
Yum! Quaint, comfortable, good food! These ladies really hustle as it was quite busy!
Olde salty has the perfect atmosphere of a seafood restaurant on the beach. Located on the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, Olde Salty is a small and welcoming restaurant that started in the earlier-mid 1900 's by a family. Though much older now, mostly family members still run the place. Some people are complaining about terrible service, but the waiters there treat us like family every time we go. They 're very fun, yet straightforward, and right knit as a family. The food is some of the best seafood I 've ever eaten, nothing fancy, but something for the whole family. The small salad bar in the corner, sometimes open, had a wide variety of toppings. There is also a bar, somewhat tacky, but again, making me feel even more welcome when we come to the beach. The place is covered with signs paintings and is decorated just about the same as it was when I first came many years ago. Yes, some of the signs can be taken the wrong way, for instance, the no screaming children sign and many others have gotten quite a few complaints. It 's quirky, much like the family that owns the place runs it, and I rally have absolutely no complaints! I highly recommend Olde Salty to anyone who wants a warm and comfortable dining experience on the boardwalk. Nothing fancy, but anyone who has complaints about service should loosen up get to know the extemely fun nice owners staff. I absolutely love this place, and I almost promise you will too!
