Central Grill - Carrick-on-suir

My family and I have been big fans of Central Grill since I was a child. It was a special treat to dine in the sit-down area for dinner, and as a teenager, getting chips smothered in vinegar with friends for lunch on Fridays was a highlight. This tradition has continued with my own children, who love the fresh pizzas and flat fish. The restaurant has a nostalgic feel, as it has been maintained and refurbished over the years to keep up with the times. This is a testament to the owners' commitment to quality and hygiene standards. Despite the current COVID restrictions preventing us from dining in, the service and quality remain excellent. I appreciate the new canopy for the queuing system, although you typically don't wait long due to the friendly and efficient staff and management. Central Grill is a landmark in Carrick-on-Suir at this point.

This restaurant has been in business for many years and always delivers tasty dishes promptly. They also have a cozy dining area for customers to sit and enjoy their meals.

Have stopped here several times and will continue to do so as the place is well run, very clean and the meals have always been tasty and of good quality. Sampled the takeaway menu too and have no complaints.

I am a long distance walker and have been in probably 50 cities, towns, and villages eating at all kinds of restaurants, cafes, and pubs and I rarely write a bad review but this place is just bad. The reviews suggested “succulent” fried chicken and “great” chips. The waitress brought out my plate no more than one minute after I ordered and the food tasted bad. The chicken was dry. The chips tasted like they had been sitting and were refried. The peas were barely warm and tasteless. I pride myself on always finishing what is served to me but could not here even though i was quite hungry after a 21k walk.

Tasty food, great chips not greasy in any way. Sucullent southern fried chicken, their ‘grill’ meal is very generous. Spotless area for dining, have also had take away lovely!
