Carrickfergus Golf Club

There is a lack of communication and clarity at this restaurant. It is unclear if there are any events happening or if you can even make a reservation. The restaurant should update their website and events page if they want to be taken seriously as a dining establishment.

I'm hoping this was a one off as Carrick golf club was always a great place to go for a meal. But this night wasn't good. My son and I ordered steaks and chips my wife chicken and chips. Steaks were ok as was the chicken. The chips were like they had been cooked a dozen times worst I've ever had in any establishment. The place had a fee tables free so wasn't overly busy but we had to wait quite a while on our order being taken. And again our plates being cleared we had to wait ages for our bill seemed to me the staff hadn't been doing this for too long, even the chef came out of the kitchen to clarify something he didn't look happy. Sorry C.G.C but won't be returning.

Our first ever golf trip to Northern Ireland started at Carrickfergus Golf Club. A very warm welcome from Gary, the club pro who could not do enough for us. A short but challenging course with very good greens. Would recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

Fantastic compact 18 hole golf course greens were really well looked after as rest of the course was some quite challenging holes so very enjoyable. Also green fees were very reasonable.
