El Pescador Grill - Carson

I have visited this restaurant several times in the past, and I have never been completely satisfied with the service. However, today's experience was particularly disappointing. I arrived at 2:15 to meet a client, but it took 15 minutes to even get chips, salsa, and water. After waiting for nearly an hour, I had to flag down a waitress at 3:10 to take our drink order. The table next to us, a Hispanic couple, received their drinks before us, despite being a party of two. My friend, who is black, and I, a Cuban woman of color, couldn't help but notice the discrepancy in service. On the other side of us, a group of six Latinas were being served promptly without any issues. The food itself was not exceptional enough to outweigh the poor service we received. It was clear that there was enough staff on hand, and it was evident to us that we were the only people of color in the restaurant. It's disheartening that such inequalities still occur in this day and age.

If you're looking for good seafood, look elsewhere. eating here was such a disappointment. I ordered the mixed tostada and it was by far the worst mariscos court I ever had. absolutely zero taste and only a bad dish overall. also the child menu is very limited. considering that it is a seafood restaurant, one would think that they would have a few more seafood options on the children's menu, but that's not the case. I had to order my 6 year old eating from the regular menu. when they brought his fish, he was burned black on one side and only one level disappointed. would give zero stars if there was an honest option.

The horchata here is delicious, but the dining experience is easygoing overall. We chose to sit in the bar area, which was a bit dark, but manageable. Our orders were taken promptly, but one of them was forgotten and had to be re-done. The guacamole was tasty, but it was placed on my salad, which already had lettuce and a sliced tomato, causing my guacamole to mix in with the other ingredients. The service was decent, as was the food, but I don't think I would return.

The food at this restaurant was delicious. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with light cheese, but it came with an excessive amount of cheese. I heard that the mixed drinks were also very tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive. Despite it being a busy Saturday, we were seated quickly. As a bonus, we received a free photo of our group. The restaurant also offers other photo options with different effects such as sepia and black and white, but we decided not to take them.

Their drinks are dangerous and delicious!! The food is always on point, and the staff is very courteous and quicc. Love this place.
