Eighty 8 - Cary

The food was good but service was slow, but that will not stop me from going back again.

While the food was very good and the server attentive, the kitchen must have screwed up our order. We waited for almost an hour for our entrees and mine was just sushui. We kept being told by our server that the kitchen was just minutes away from completing our order. This went on for about 20 minutes after the food should have been served. At least 3 other tables that were seated just before or right after us were served, ate and left before we were served. This was our first time here and I am willing to give it a second chance, but not a third.

While visiting from Philadelphia, my family and I planned a meal with friends at this establishment. Our reservation was made with great anticipation and high hopes for amazing sushi. We were disappointed from the arrival of the appetizers until the check was dropped at the end of the meal. The food was clearly not fresh and was nothing like we expected it to be. In addition to the poor food, the service was equally as poor. The server was present only to deliver food and drinks and then at the end of the meal to drop the bill. She never cleared our appetizer plates and never bothered with the dirty dinner plates. She didn’t even bother to bring a pitcher of water to refill our glasses that were empty. Needless to say our local friends will not be back and neither will we!!! I really hope this place gets its act together.

Food is great! We go here a couple times per week. Sushi is the best I have found and every one of their meals are excellent. The owner really cares and takes the extra time to make sure that everything is just right. I would highly recommend going and you will keep coming back!

Delicious food at reasonable prices for sushi. The atmosphere is casual, yet the meal was genuinely enjoyable.
