Fiume Calore - Castelcivita

Do not expect an area immersed in true nature, forget the speech healthy air, because it is no longer. I had beautiful memories as a child of this area, where you came by parking at the beginning under trees and turned on to a flat area all green lawn and some wooden table, where you ate and accessed directly on the river with a small wooden bridge; I returned here to make it known to my children and I was almost afraid of the colonization that occurred. The stretch of green lawn has become all parking, so much so that while you bathe in the river you see the machines that almost fall inside, for the entrance you access later along the road where you find a brick structure with abusive appearance with people who without any attention to the norms anticovid asks you the 5€ per head (any age and you descend into an area where you find type 150/200 wooden tables with each its slab and in the same place other machines. Fortunately, there are trees that are parasols, but the soil is nothing but an endless stretch of dry sand, and while you eat in addition to the smoke of the braces that are located between the tables you get rid of sand from the machines that turn to find place. Pretty equipped for camping but it looked like a refugee camp as people had settled with fridges, cots, beds. In the area of the river that reaches for a little nature, each corner is covered with abandoned waste of all kinds, you can find plastic bottles containing wine floating on the shore, cans, bottles of beer stuck between the stones where the river is low and you create whirlpool tanks for the effect of the water, broken slippers left in every where, on the river bank immediately under the refreshment area fazzoletti with human feces and then left in the water. I was during the week to avoid confusion but the month of August is really off-limits, I wonder why you pay money at the entrance if you do not have the minimum limit of a maximum number of people, no control, that day we could have there 3000 people and continued to arrive until the afternoon. If this step continues this place will no longer exist and another possibility of the region will be lost to protect what was once a natural reserve

The area of the heat and stupendous river has beautiful views such as the abandoned mill (unfortunately), the caves of Castelcivita, the various banks (some a little crowded) just to get away a bit to find really quiet places, with the bends of the river that in some traits form of suggestive lakes.Unfortunately even here I say unfortunately they can find the passages of the various inciviles consumption or it would be better to say PORCI! If any of these people are the same who then complain if they find a place dirty.... I think that even in the house they behave like this.... a little more good civic education by the gitanti would be desirable for a safeguard of our Natural goods.

Beautiful place in the middle of nature, beautiful river and organized for picnic and braciate. But too chaotic to enjoy nature and a little difficult to get there. I wouldn't come back.

I didn't know this place, I was advised. We spent a beautiful day outdoors, immersed in the nature and cold water of the river. There is the possibility to use the brace in the appropriate area, positive note since it is not allowed to eat on the river bank, sin that not all respect this rule given the lack of controls by the staff.

Very nice experience in contact with nature at 100% very spacious place and not attacked each other very fresh river very indicated in summer....
