Lots of space but full of people during lunch hour so it´s best to make a reservation. The staff are friendly and even though it gets very busy the service is efficient. Definitely the best restaurant to east Maranhos a typical dish made from various meats, rice and mint, wrapped in intestine (which you don´t have to eat, it´s there mostly to keep the wrap the rest of the ingredients). It´s either served with baked potato or chips and it´s simply delicious! Especially if you enjoy the minty taste. The deserts are nothing special but the dishes we tried were all very delicious. Your meal will cost between €8 to €15 depending on what you order.

This is one great restaurant! Stopped in for a beer in the late afternoon on our first day navigating Castelo Blanca in September. Decided to try it again for dinner. What a good decision! On our return we were given menus in Portuguese but one of the waiters, who turned out to be the son of the owner, was able to help us order. The menu was full of authentic Portuguese dishes so a couple of us ordered a beef dish with gravy, which was really good. The wine, like the rest of red wines in Portugal was also great and not expensive as was the entire meal. Even though we were visiting the town for only a couple of days we all agreed to return the next night. Unfortunately, on the second visit, our translator was absent but the owner called home and had him come back to work to help us order. Is that service or what! My only regret was that we had to leave the next day to continue our trip around Portugal. If you visit Castelo Blanca, this is THE RESTAURANT to try.

Looking for somewhere close to where we were staying... it was a short walk away. Very welcoming.. even though no English was spoken we understood each other!! Translating the menu was fun..! And as we were not sure what some of the things were we settled on chicken and garlic steak..!! The food was served promptly and hot, cooked to perfection..! The red wine was rich and smooth. The brandy was smooth and generous.. we were the last to leave..! A very enjoyable experience, the hostess was wonderful... Will definitely go again when I'm over there.. Great memories..!!

I had a craving for steak and found this restaurant on Google. The pictures of their dishes looked appetizing. After completing errands in the city, my boyfriend and I headed to 14. It was a bit early but the young male staff was friendly and polite and showed us in even though the kitchen employees hadn’t arrived. After some appetizers of cheese, chorizo and ham, we ordered Bife 14 and Bife da Cervejeira. The dishes came with soup. The meats were done to perfection and the sauce on top of my steak was good. The French fries were crispy and went well with the delicious sauce. Good food, good location and friendly staff.
