La Guardiola - CASTELSARDO

It was luch time before we depart from Porto Tores heading backbto Genoa. We went to Castelsardo a castel on the mounzain and this restaurant have very nice view and the food also very delicious. very recommended!

We were a family of five attending for lunch, initially taken in by the lovely views. Unfortunately, the location did not come anywhere close to making up for the horrible service and disrespect with which they treated us. The service was subpar, to say the least. When I tried to order a seafood dish, the waitress immediately began giving out that it was for at least 2 people, which it did not state on the menu. As I tried to communicate that I had no problem in choosing something else, she stormed off and brought out the check, throwing it on the table at us, much to our confusion. We genuinely weren’t sure whether we had been kicked out or not. She eventually returned and we managed to proceed with ordering, which we greatly regret. Two of our party of five asked to order drinks only, the manager came to our table and started yelling very aggressively. We also did not receive the wine after asking twice, although the restaurant was almost empty and not busy at the time. At the end of all of this, they then tried to charge full cover charge for 5 people, although they had only given 3 pieces of bread. We refused this. In terms of the food itself, the bread was exceptionally stale. I would not be surprised if it had been found 3 days prior at the bottom of a motel refuse collection. The food was very underwhelming and bland, and were stingy with the meat. Very overpriced for what we received. Overall, incredibly unpleasant experience. They made us feel as though we were a major inconvenience for them, not what you expect when spending a large amount of money in their establishment. Terrible attitude. Would not recommend to anyone. The view is not worth it.

Service is really kind, helpful and talkative. Food is tasty has a lot of seafood choices. The view is amazing you can see the see and also the whole town . Worth the price, very well located, and they speak english (rare in the area) . The guy who served us was really nice!

Beautiful place and panorama. great food. great service with the super good samuele waiter who knew how to recommend a great wine!

During the Christmas holidays we had the chance to stop at castelsardo with friends and discover this pearl. we have taken mixed fish appetizers, oysters of excellent quality, first, second and sweets to mock in couple. the owner was very kind with us and treated us by guests and not by customers. We felt like home. it was a real culinary journey within the Sardinian flavours, revisited by the chef carefully and proposed in a modern way. honest account and proportionate to the quality of the dishes. recommended!
