Maison Noir - Castle Point

The afternoon tea at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was amazing and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

My lady and I visited this restaurant for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were welcomed by many Christmas decorations hanging from the ceiling in the nicely decorated dining room. The staff we interacted with were all polite and created a cozy atmosphere. We ordered scrambled eggs on toast, a Full English breakfast, a pot of tea, and mint tea. The food was very good, and we easily finished everything on our plates. We also took home slices of homemade cake, which were delicious. The soft sponges and thick buttercream were heavenly, and the host assured us that they were all handmade. We enjoyed ginger cake, carrot cake, and raspberry coconut cake.

What a lovely place to eat. Super clean, friendly staff, great service and the most delicious breakfast we’ve had. As for the amazing lemon cake simply lush! Great value for money. Will definitely be back as the lunch menu looks well worth a try!
