Brown Butter Cookie Company - Cayucos

I remember the first time me and my family visited this location together. It was my first time visiting Cayucos and we all decided to explore given it's there downtown. They welcome you with free samples as you walk in, and they offer a variety of flavors and a couple different types of cookies. Their customer service is so friendly and very efficient. Needless to say, every time we come to the coast we revisit Cayucos just to get a taste for these cookies! They are a bit pricy at the moment, but I would argue it is worth the price if you're just visiting or touring.As a little side note: If you do not know what to order, I would go for the classic brown butter sea salt cookie, and get the dozen or double-dozen! My personal favorites are the expresso sea salt cookies and their stack of peanut butter cookies. Yum!

This used to be one of my favorite cookie shops when I’d visit Cayucos. But unfortunately overtime the quality has gone down and price has gone up. Their signature cookie was no longer the same consistency and it was almost soft and not as much flavor. It seems at this point they are just hoping tourists will wander in since I don’t see how they will have repeat customers.

Loooooove the cookies soooo much but the packaging is so fricken ridiculously wasteful. I can't believe they are still shrink wrapping three set cookies and cards in every set.Also the staff has been rude as frick. I was super excited to go in after moving back to the area and the girls were all so rude. The shop was not busy but they were definitely not hiding the fact they hated interacting with other people. luckily there was one guy willing to ring up customers.But damn are they good cookies.

This is a cookie shop that sells expensive and overpriced cookies to tourists. The cookies are not spectacular and I really don't even think it would be possible to make a cookie good enough to justify the prices they charged. They're priced twice as high as a cookie should be and are 1/2 as good.

Awesome bakery. You can smell the cookies being made 20 yards away. The selection is very good and the cookies taste is excellent. The staff is very friendly and offers samples to help you make your selection. Cookies are a little pricey, however, worth it.
