Saltgrass Steak House - Cedar Hill

The food at this restaurant is amazing, and I highly recommend asking for Joshua as your server. He is very friendly and attentive.

My daughter and I went to Saltgrass Steak House in Cedar Hill for lunch on July 22, 2023 and had a terrible experience! My daughter ordered the chicken fried chicken, but it was completely raw. We informed the manager, a woman, who took the food back and had it redone. However, the second chicken fried chicken was also raw. I spoke to a different manager, a man, who made excuses about timing. I insisted that he speak to the cooks and ensure the chicken is fully cooked. My daughter ate a few bites of the second chicken before realizing it was raw. I am concerned about food poisoning. Both managers were indifferent to the situation. We will not be returning to this restaurant. The chicken fried steak I ordered was tough and underseasoned. The Caesar salads we ordered were dry and lacked sufficient dressing. There were numerous flies in the restaurant, which was unacceptable. We will be contacting the corporate office promptly.

The service at this restaurant was quite slow. It is unclear whether it was due to the post-church crowd or just a regular Sunday rush, but it took a considerable amount of time for our food to be served. However, I must admit that the food was well worth the wait. Next time, I will make sure to consider the day and time before visiting again. For starters, I had the Pickles Peppers, which were delicious. As for my main course, I ordered the Atlantic Salmon with mashed potatoes and flash-fried green beans, which were all excellent. I may return on a different day of the week to see if the service improves.

I haven't been to a location in about 10 years. This was the 1st time that I tried the pork chop. It was really good. This was the first time anybody ever asked me about the doneness for a pork chop. I got it medium well. The doneness is always 165 for pork. Anyways, it was a good experience.

The staff was very nice. We sat for a short time and was seated. We ordered and received our drinks. Our food came about an hour later. The waitress was very nice and explained that our order some how got lost. When it finally came, it was so good. The manager came to apologize about the delay and gave us two free desert passes. Overall the food was good and the staff was nice.
