La Volpe - Center Moriches

Fabulous food and great atmosphere. Service was perfect. One of our favorites for sure. The veal milanese was delicious, my husband gobbled up his lobster ravioli

Every time we dine at La Volpe, we must have the calamari and zucchini appetizer. Tender pieces of calamari and zucchini, fried to a crisp perfection. The dipping tomato sauce is outstanding. Hubby chose to have the frutti di mare in bianco. A wonderful seafood medley done with white wine, garlic, and olive oil. Clams, mussles, shrimp and calamari all cooked beautifully. I was in the mood for the filet mignon that was cooked to a wonderful, medium rare. It was a generous portion, center cut, tender and delicious.

The owners of this place are horrible people, they mistreat their staff and are rude to customers. The atmosphere in there is horrible for average food and above average prices... I would rather eat at the nasty run down Subway next door...

Placed a 5:30 reservation because if it gets too busy ,they can 't keep up and the service slows down tremendously after 6:30pm. Ordered an almond flounder Florentine. The meal came out with the consistency of a granola bar buried in sauce . I haven 't sent a meal back since about '98 but this was inedible. The waiter stated I 'll check if it 's ok with the chef ! The waiter comes back smiling and says He says it 's ok . I order a small appetizer to replace my DINNER and after 45 minutes the waiter says l 'm sorry but it 's very busy . No dinner and nobody there could care less- WTAH? We got the check and left. Truly incomprehensible! Never again.
